Municipal - Greeley Police Department

Ellipse was approached by a local Denver architectural firm to provide Furniture, Fixture & Equipment (FF&E) support for the new Greeley Police Department. They had a conservative furniture budget with plans for all new furniture.

Client Challenge

To identify user functional FF&E requirements, develop functional furniture plans/drawings and provide new furniture with a conservative furniture budget.

Needed to integrate and solve special power and data requirements in workspace (private offices, workstations, training rooms, etc).

Our Solutions

Met with representatives from each department to identify furniture requirements for: private offices, workstations, storage and filing rooms and specialty FF&E requirements.

Developed an initial furniture budget based on the functional requirements identified by the architects. New furniture was supplemented with existing furniture in non-public areas. By providing systems furniture we saved construction costs on built-in millwork for casework and storage.

Created “to scale”, functional furniture drawings addressing requirements identified by client department representatives, circulation requirements, ADA requirements and IBC code requirements.

Provided a lower cost option for managing power & data in panel systems vs. new construction.
