Ellipse was asked to assist with the physical move coordination. However, as we met with the SOS team they found that we could offer more value than what was requested from the original scope of work. Therefore, the SOS asked us to become more involved in their relocation. By identifying issues early in the process, we provided increased value with the space plan and the space allocation of their existing furniture.

Client Challenge

Architectural base drawings had not been field verified by the architectural team, and there were issues with lost square footage and distribution of power and data. The SOS had a minimal budget for new furniture.

Our Solutions

Modified their existing furniture footprint by subsidizing their existing furniture with new parts and pieces to better utilize actual square footage and maximize reuse of their existing furniture.

Introduced Value Engineering options for addressing power/data distribution by using partial height panels as a conduit for power and data distribution.

Provided Owner’s representation for construction, data cabling, server room construction, furniture procurement and audio visual procurement / installation.
